In a nutshell Ma Jaya founded the Kashi Ashram, 'an international interfaith community based on kindness, compassion and service', in Florida in 1976. She draws on the teachings of many saints and sages from many traditions. Although Ma Jaya considers Neem Karoli Baba to be her guru, she also credits Bhagavan Nityananda as being one of her main teachers.
